ARMREST MODULE WITH MAN-MACHINE INTERFACE FOR SEAT
VEHICLE
Technical area
The present invention relates to an armrest module for a motor vehicle seat with a man-machine interface and a seat, a console and a door of a motor vehicle provided with such an armrest module.
State of the art
In the automotive field, there is known a vehicle seat comprising a seat and a backrest, the backrest being pivotally mounted relative to the seat about an axis of transverse direction relative to the seat.
It is known practice to provide this type of vehicle seat with an armrest allowing an occupant of the seat to rest his arm on the armrest. At its end, the armrest can have a man-machine interface, in particular buttons for controlling the position of the seat, in particular the relative position of the backrest relative to the seat.
Such an armrest generally has a low degree of position adjustment. Most often, the armrest is simply mounted on the backrest, able to pivot about an axis of direction transverse to the seat.
This simple rotation does not guarantee the comfort of the occupant of the vehicle seat or easy access to the man-machine interface in all the armrest adjustment positions.
Summary of the invention
The objective of the present invention is therefore to provide an armrest module for a motor vehicle seat facilitating access to the man-machine interface of the armrest.
This object of the invention is achieved by means of an armrest module for a vehicle, in particular for a motor vehicle, in particular intended to be fixed to a vehicle seat, to a console of a motor vehicle or to a door of a motor vehicle. , including:
an armrest adapted to support the arm of an occupant of the vehicle, in particular the arm of an occupant of the vehicle seat, the armrest extending mainly in a longitudinal direction, a shelf at one end of the armrest, the tablet being able to be pivoted about two axes, perpendicular to each other, the two axes also being perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the armrest;
a man-machine interface supported by the tablet.
Thus, advantageously, the armrest module according to the invention allows a greater variety of adjustments of the position of the man-machine interface than the armrests of the prior art, which makes it possible to adapt better to the occupant of the vehicle seat.
According to preferred embodiments, the armrest module according to the invention has one or more of the following characteristics, taken alone or in combination:
the human-machine interface comprises one or more buttons and / or one or more screens, in particular touch screens, and / or one or more joysticks;
the tablet is able to be moved relative to the armrest in said longitudinal direction;
the tablet is shaped to be received in the armrest or under the armrest, preferably by translation in the longitudinal direction;
the tablet is fixed to a connecting rod, so as to pivot around the two axes perpendicular to each other, the connecting rod being preferably mounted free in translation relative to the armrest;
the armrest forms a housing for receiving the connecting rod and, preferably, the shelf; and the man-machine interface is configured to control at least one of:
- a car radio;
- ventilation of the vehicle;
- vehicle air conditioning;
- interior lighting of the vehicle;
- a position of a vehicle seat;
- a smartphone.
The invention also relates to a vehicle seat, in particular a motor vehicle, comprising a seat with a seat frame and / or a backrest with a back frame, and an armrest module as described above. in all its combinations, fixed to the seat frame or to the back frame, the armrest module preferably being fixed on one side of the vehicle seat intended to be oriented towards the interior of the vehicle.
The backrest frame can be pivotally mounted relative to the seat frame, about a transverse axis of the vehicle seat.
The seat frame may include feet and slides such that the position of the feet in the slides can be modified by translation and / or the height of the feet is adjustable.
According to another aspect, the invention relates to a vehicle console, in particular for a motor vehicle, comprising an armrest module as described above in all of its combinations.
Finally, according to yet another aspect, the invention relates to a vehicle door, in particular of a motor vehicle, on which is fixed an armrest module as described above in all its combinations.
Brief description of the figures
Other aspects, objects and advantages of the invention will appear on reading the following description, which relates to the attached drawings, among which:
FIG. 1 schematically represents a side view of an example of a vehicle seat provided with an armrest module;
Figure 2 schematically shows a top view of the vehicle seat of Figure 1;
Figure 3 is a view similar to Figure 1, of the seat in another position;
Figure 4 is a view similar to Figure 2, of the seat of Figure 3; and Figure 5 is a view similar to Figures 1 and 3, of the seat, in a retracted position of the armrest arm.
detailed description
Figures 1 to 5 illustrate an example of a seat 1 of a motor vehicle. Preferably, the motor vehicle is an autonomous vehicle. The seat 1 has a back 2 and a seat 3. The back 2 has a back frame 4. The seat 3 has a seat frame 5. The back frame 4 is mounted substantially in a pivot connection around an axis D, on the seat frame 5. The seat frame 5 can itself be mounted on the floor 6 of the motor vehicle, for example by means of slides 7 of the seat 1. In the species, the seat frame 5 has feet 8 which are received in the runners 7, so that the position of the feet 8 in the runners 7 can be modified by translation in the longitudinal direction X of the seat, here corresponding to the direction F of normal advancement of the motor vehicle. Thus, one can adjust the position of the seat 1 relative to the steering wheel of the motor vehicle, in a longitudinal direction X of the motor vehicle seat corresponding to the direction F of advancement of the motor vehicle in normal operation. The height of the feet 8 can also be adjustable.
An articulation device 9 makes it possible here to adjust the inclination of the back frame 4 with respect to the seat frame 5 and to block the inclination of the back frame 4. Such an articulation device 9 is well known to those skilled in the art. Consequently, for the sake of brevity in the present description, this articulation device 9 is not described in more detail here.
Furthermore, the seat 1 is provided, in the figures, with an armrest module 10.
Such an armrest module 10 comprises first of all an armrest arm 12, intended to support the arm of an occupant of the seat 1 of a motor vehicle. The arm arm extends mainly in a longitudinal direction X, corresponding here to the normal direction of advance F of the motor vehicle.
The arm arm 12 can be pivotally mounted around a transverse direction Y relative to the backrest frame 4 of the seat of the motor vehicle 1. This can allow this arm arm 12 to be folded down in a position where it s 'extends substantially in the extension of the backrest 2 of the seat 1, thereby limiting the size of the armrest arm 12. This is more particularly advantageous when the armrest is mounted on the side of the motor vehicle seat 1 oriented towards the exterior of the motor vehicle, to allow entry into the motor vehicle of the seat occupant. However, preferably, the seat module 10 described here is mounted on the side of the motor vehicle seat 1, oriented towards the interior of the motor vehicle (in particular on the right on the driver's seat of a motor vehicle with steering wheel on the left) . Indeed, thus, it is not necessary to fold down the armrest each time the occupant wants to get out of the seat 1 of a motor vehicle.
The armrest 12 can also be mounted so that it can be translated relative to the backrest frame 4, in a substantially vertical direction. It is thus possible to adjust the height of the armrest 12, independently of its angular position relative to the backrest frame 4. The angular position of the armrest 12 relative to the backrest frame 4 is also called plate.
To allow the adjustment of the trim and / or the height of the armrest arm 12, the armrest module 10 and / or the seat of the motor vehicle 1 may comprise a device 20 for adjusting the height of the armrest. armrest 12 and / or the armrest plate 12.
At the distal end 12a of the armrest arm 12, situated opposite the proximal end 12b fixed to the backrest frame 4, the armrest module 10 comprises a shelf 14 mounted on a connecting rod 16. The tablet 14 supports a man-machine interface 18. The distal end 12a of the armrest arm 12 is the end intended to be facing the hand of the occupant of the vehicle. The proximal end 12b of the armrest 12 is the end intended to support the elbow of the occupant of the vehicle.
The human-machine interface 18 can take different forms. In particular, the man-machine interface may include one or more screens, in particular one or more touch screens and / or one or more control buttons, in particular one or more push buttons, and / or one or more joysticks. The human-machine interface can thus be used to control many elements of the motor vehicle. This man-machine interface 18 can in particular include commands:
- Adjusting the position of the seat 1, in particular the position of the feet 8 in the slides 7, the height of the feet 8, relative inclination of the back frame 4 relative to the seat frame 5 around the D axis;
- Adjustment of the position of the armrest module 10 relative to the seat of the motor vehicle 1, in particular when the adjustment of this position is carried out using controllable actuators;
- adjustment of any other parameter in the motor vehicle, such as adjustment of the radio, GPS, position of the exterior mirrors, interior mirror, position of the steering wheel relative to the dashboard, the 'air conditioning and / or ventilation in the passenger compartment;
- for controlling the interior lighting of the motor vehicle, in particular a ceiling light and / or a reading light;
- motor vehicle controls such as central locking of doors, triggering of hazard lights;
- or any other command accessible to those skilled in the art.
The human-machine interface can also allow connectivity with a smartphone, in particular by implementing a technology of the Mirrorlink® type, preferably the MirrorLink® technology. Thus, a smartphone can be implemented, via the man-machine interface 18, to control all or part of the commands mentioned above. Alternatively or additionally, the man-machine interface 18 can be implemented to control at least certain commands of the smartphone. For example, the human-machine interface allows:
dial and call a phone number;
to navigate to the contact database stored in the memory of the smartphone or SIM card with which it is equipped, to call one of these contacts;
write a message such as SMS, MMS or electronic mail;
to open and, advantageously to read by means of the audio and / or video equipment of the motor vehicle, a received message, of the SMS, MMS or electronic mail type; and to play the songs and / or videos recorded in a memory of the smartphone or to which the smartphone has access, in particular by wireless link, by means of the audio and / or video equipment of the motor vehicle.
According to a particularly advantageous example, the armrest module 10, for example the armrest arm 12, forms a housing for receiving a smartphone and includes means for electrically recharging this smartphone, for example a socket, in particular a USB socket , and / or means of wireless transmission of electrical energy to the smartphone. The human-machine interface can then comprise at least one communication means intended to communicate with the smartphone, in particular a means of communication by Wifi technology or near field communication technology or CCP (from English "Near Field Communication ”Or“ NFC ”), or Bluethooth® technology.
Remarkably, the shelf 14 is pivotally mounted relative to the connecting rod 18, around two axes A1, A2 perpendicular to each other, the two axes A1, A2 also being perpendicular to the longitudinal direction X of extension of the armrest arm 12. The two axes A1, A2 perpendicular to each other may in particular be, for one, substantially horizontal, and, for the other, substantially vertical.
The rotation of the tablet 14 relative to the connecting rod 16 around these two axes A1, A2, allows a wide variety of adjustments to the orientation of this tablet 14, and therefore of the man-machine interface 18. It is thus possible to have the man-machine interface 18 vis-à-vis the occupant of the motor vehicle seat so that this man-machine interface 18 is always clearly visible and / or accessible for the occupant of the motor vehicle seat .
Here, more particularly, the rotation about the substantially vertical axis A1 makes it possible to vary the angle of relative rotation a of the tablet 14 relative to the connecting rod 16, towards the inside or towards the outside of the motor vehicle. , as illustrated by the comparison of Figures 2 and 4.
The rotation around the substantially horizontal axis A2 makes it possible to vary the angle β of the tablet, upwards or downwards, as illustrated by the comparison of FIGS. 1 and 3.
To further improve the possibilities for adjusting the position of the man-machine interface 18, the connecting rod 16 is movable in translation relative to the armrest arm 12, in the longitudinal direction X of the armrest arm. For example, the connecting rod 16 is slidably mounted in a slide formed in the armrest arm 12 or under the armrest arm 12. This can allow, in particular when the tablet 14 extends in the extension of the connecting rod 16 according to the longitudinal direction X, to store the shelf 14 and, advantageously, the connecting rod 16 in a housing formed in the armrest or under the armrest, to limit the size of the armrest module 10. This retracted configuration of the armrest module 10, for storage, is shown in FIG. 5.
It should be noted here that by connecting rod means any rigid mechanical part adapted to connect two other mechanical parts so that these two other mechanical parts are movable relative to each other. A connecting rod may in particular have, or consist of, a portion extending in a main direction of extension, between two ends. The rod can in particular be substantially planar. The connecting rod preferably has fixed dimensions.
The displacement of the connecting rod 16 relative to the armrest arm 12 can in particular be measured by the length l between the proximal end of the connecting rod 16 and the position of this proximal end, when the connecting rod 16 and shelf 14 assembly is in its retracted position in the armrest 12 or under the armrest 12, retracted position which is illustrated in FIG. 5.
The present invention is not limited to the single embodiment which has just been described but is on the contrary susceptible of numerous variants accessible to those skilled in the art.
First of all, the armrest module is not necessarily intended to be fixed on an individual seat of a motor vehicle. It can also be fixed on a seat shared by several occupants of the motor vehicle (or "bench seat"), on a motor vehicle console, whether front or rear, or even on a motor vehicle door. A vehicle console can have a human-machine interface separate from the human-machine interface carried by the armrest module. In particular, such a console traditionally includes controls for adjusting the ventilation and / or air conditioning, audio and video equipment of the motor vehicle or even certain controls of the headlights of the motor vehicle, in particular a command to trigger the hazard lights. The armrest module allows you to duplicate and / or deport these commands and / or add other commands to the console.
Likewise, a door is generally provided with a man-machine interface making it possible in particular to control one or more window regulators and / or the adjustment of one or more exterior mirrors. The armrest module then makes it possible to duplicate and / or deport these commands and / or to add other commands to the door.
The armrest module can also be attached to the seat frame of the motor vehicle seat rather than the backrest frame.
When the armrest module is attached to a seat, door or console, the armrest module shelf is preferably located at the distal end of the armrest arm, i.e. the end which is intended to be facing the hand of the occupant of the vehicle.
